Acceptance Spell

Magic often works in unexpected ways. Acceptance isn't always what we want. Sometimes it shows us what we need.

I didn't want a relationship. I wanted to do whatever and whomever I wanted, when I wanted it. When it came to pleasure, I wanted as many guys as I could get down and dirty with at my favorite bar. That worked well for me until I hooked up with a man who might have convinced me to change my mind on relationships. If only I didn't have somewhere to be for Thanksgiving tomorrow morning.

Resigned to spending the day with my family for Thanksgiving, I released a spell into the world, asking that, for once, they accept who I was and what I wanted. When I showed up to dinner, it didn't seem like it had worked, or not entirely. To make matters worse, my mom invited her new neighbors, and it turned out to be the guy from the bar last night, and his wife! It quickly became obvious that not only did he still want me, but so did she. Unable to keep my feelings in check, I might have had the best feast of my entire life, and not just Thanksgiving dinner.
